FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in the first session?

The first session is really just a conversation. I'll ask about what's going on, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and a bit about your history. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. Most people leave feeling relieved that it was way easier than they expected.

How much does therapy cost?

Individual sessions are $175 for 50 minutes. I also have a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients who need them. I accept HSA/FSA cards, and I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Let's talk about what works for your budget — I don't want cost to be the thing that stops you from getting help.

Do you take insurance?

I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly. But I do provide superbills — detailed receipts you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse 50–80% of session costs. I'm happy to help you figure out your benefits if you're not sure.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes! I see clients both in person at my Austin office and via secure video throughout Texas. A lot of my clients do a mix of both depending on their week. Whatever helps you show up consistently is what matters most to me.

What's your cancellation policy?

I ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee. I know life happens — if something truly unexpected comes up, just let me know and we'll figure it out together. The policy is there to respect both our time, not to add stress.

Do you work with ADHD?

Absolutely — it's one of my specialties. I work with adults who were diagnosed as kids and adults who are just figuring it out now. We'll focus on practical strategies for executive function, time management, emotional regulation, and the burnout cycle. No shame, no judgment, just tools that actually work with your brain instead of against it.
